Getting To The Cause of Illness to Transform Health
Philosophy Poor health is the end result of many factors: what we eat, our toxic environment, our genes, our relationships, our stress levels, our lack of movement and more. My job as a physician is to help investigate the cause of your illness and then give you the tools to fix it. My goal is to stimulate your body to heal itself.
I love working with children and their families, who have not yet suffered from many years of poor lifestyle choices. I envision a future where our children do not suffer the alarming rates of obesity, diabetes and cancer we are seeing now. To do this I work with parents to understand the measures that must be taken to ensure a lifetime of good health! Children are vital little creatures, as we can observe when they get injured and heal in record time. In order to foster this incredible ability of a child's body to heal itself we must train ourselves to work WITH the body, rather then against it. This pertains to adults as well, and I find that I have to go back in time, to fix issues that started in childhood, in order to achieve real, deep lasting health in adults.
Treatments Behind any treatment I utilize is the understanding that the body can heal itself if given the right tools. Whether I use an herb or a pharmaceutical, this fundamental belief drives all my interventions. This is a list of my most commonly used medicines.
- Herbal Medicines
- Drainage Therapy
- Emotional Freedom Technique
- Diet Therapy
- Vitamins and Minerals
- Flower Essences
- Bio-identical hormone replacement
- Homeopathy
- Fasting and detoxification protocols
- Hydrotherapy
- Physical Manipulation and exercise therapy
- Pharmaceuticals
Illnesses Treated First I must stress that I treat people, not diseases! Our current medical system wants to give a label to every illness. I'm much more interested in supporting your health and understand your story, i.e. how your body/mind/spirit ended up in this state of disease. I work with both acute illnesses and long-term chronic illnesses. Here is a list of some common diseases that I have worked with extensively.
- Acute illnesses such as cold/flu, urinary tract infections, bronchitis, pneumonia, hives, ear infections.
- Immune system illness such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, cancer, frequent infections, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, allergies
- Heart illnesses such as high blood pressure, high lipids, irregular heart rhythm, hardened arteries, recovery from heart attacks or strokes
- Lung illnesses such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, COPD
- Hormone disorders such as hypothyroid, hyperthyroid, menopause, andropause, adrenal exhaustion
- Digestive disorders such as IBS, Crohn's, heartburn, colitis, stomach ulcers, food intolerances, liver and gallbladder diseases
- Skin disorders such as eczema, hives, acne, warts
